Essay Du Jean ValJean

Jean Valjean is a dynamic character because he keps changing as we read futher into the book. I think what makes Jean Valjean a dynamc character is that he is always changing different ways. When we first met Jean Valjean he was a man who had nothing to give to his sister's strving family after being behnd bars for over 19. Jean Valjean being the main character of the book makes him be loved, hated and or seen differently by other characters that haven't been through as much as he has the past years.
I noticed Jean Valjean started changing when the Bishop of Digne offered his help to him after almost getting arrested once again. In chapter 12 (XII), The Bishop Works, "He was walking like a man who is running away. We stopped him to look into the manner. He had this silver---". This tells me that Jean Valjean clearly walked away with giving people a hint that he had stolen something which was the Bishop's silverware.
Jean Vajean also become a person who gave back to others. M. Myriel would break into people's home but not to steal but to give back and leave them some gold. When people would come home to a broken in house they would instanly know in was M. Myriel (Jean Valjean) because nothing would go missing just some gold would appear. Even though he began to do good many people still wouldn't trust him, they couldn't quite understand how a person that nice and rich could exsist.
The final way that Jean Valjean has recently changed dramaticlly was when he finally met Cosette. When he bought her from the Thernardier's he changed a lot because he knew he owed all this to Fantine after promising her for years that he was going to bring her Cosette. He needed to not jusr protect himself from Jjavert but also Cosette becasue if he would to get arrested they might send her back with the Thernardier where they didn't care for her but instead treated her poorly.
To conclude Jean Valjean is a huge example of what a dynamic character is. He has gone through many changes as of how far we've read and still might change more for the rest of the book. He has learned from his past and wants to make evrything the best just for Cosette even though she thinks evrything is already going so well.
